The Prime Minister decrees the partial reopening of air borders from June 1st

The Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelaziz DJERAD, adopted, on May 24, the measures necessary for the partial reopening of the borders, which will be implemented from June 1, 2021.

 

These measures, which remain adaptable according to the evolution of the epidemiological situation, are broken down as follows:

 

1 - Concerning the number of flights:

 

Three (03) weekly flights from and to France will be provided by the company Air Algérie:
- Paris: 02 flights
- Marseille: 01 flight
One (01) weekly flight, which will be provided by Air Algérie, from and to each of the following countries:
- Turkey (Istanbul)
- Spain (Barcelona)
- Tunisia (Tunis)

 

2 - Concerning airports in Algeria:

Initially, only the airports of Algiers, Oran and Constantine are authorized to welcome passengers arriving or departing from the above-mentioned destinations.

 

3 - Regarding the boarding conditions for Algeria:

- Be the holder of a negative result of an RT-PCR test dating less than 36 hours before the date of travel;
- Have a valid ticket and the duly completed health form;
- Pay in advance the costs inherent in the mandatory health confinement to which each passenger must submit on arrival in the national territory as well as the costs of the COVID-19 screening test, provided for by the health authorities.

 

The costs of staying at the accommodation sites are the sole responsibility of the passenger. These conditions must be met before boarding.

 

4 - Concerning the health conditions applicable on arrival (in Algeria):

- The presentation of an RT-PCR test of less than 36 hours;
- The passenger must undergo compulsory sanitary confinement for a period of five (5) days at one of the hotel establishments provided for this purpose, with a permanent medical check-up;
- The application of a test for COVID-19 at the end of the lockdown.

 

The confinement will be lifted on the 5th day following a negative COVID-19 test. In the event of a positive result, confinement is renewed for an additional period of five (5) days.

 

5 - Concerning the confinement conditions:

A list of hotel establishments, offering all the conditions required for the containment of passengers, is jointly agreed between the Interior, Tourism and Health sectors.
