Algerian Ambassador presents his Letters of Credence to the President of Vietnam
On the morning of April 24, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong received the Algerian Ambassadors who came to present his Letters of Credence and assume his duties in Vietnam.
Congratulating Mr. Azeddine Bechka on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Vietnam, President Luong Cuong affirmed that Vietnam values traditional relations and friendly cooperation with Algeria, Vietnam's most continuous and deepest traditional friendly partner in Africa, which has always stood shoulder to shoulder with Vietnam in the national liberation movement.
Appreciating Algeria's role and place in Africa and the world, the President is confident that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune will continue to guide the Algerian people towards building a new Algeria, a guarantor of comprehensive economic, cultural, and social development.
In a changing world and unprecedentedly complex strategic competition, the President believes that traditionally friendly countries such as Vietnam and Algeria must strengthen their cooperation and support each other for mutual development.
Thanking the President for his warm and thoughtful welcome, Ambassador Azeddine Bechka expressed his impressions of Vietnam's development in recent years and conveyed the Algerian President's congratulations to all the Vietnamese people for their achievements in national construction and development.
Ambassador Azeddine Bechka pledged to do his best and make a positive contribution to strengthening and promoting the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two countries, as well as to promoting trade and economic cooperation. Algeria stands ready to serve as a gateway to help Vietnam expand its market to African countries. The President expressed his hope that Ambassador Azeddine Bechka, during his term, would actively collaborate with Vietnamese agencies to promote and deepen relations between the two countries, enabling them to achieve a more substantial and effective level of cooperation. This will include promoting delegation exchanges and high-level contacts between the leaders of the two countries; optimizing the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms; and supporting each other and coordinating their efforts to promote the role and voice of developing countries in multilateral forums.
The Vietnamese President also asked the Algerian government to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese companies operating in Algeria, thus becoming a symbol of the good cooperation between the two countries, and to continue its development in other areas such as education, culture, and sports. On this occasion, the Ambassador conveyed to President Lương Cường a letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune inviting him to pay an official visit to Algeria soon. The President expressed his thanks to the Algerian President and instructed the agencies of both parties to organize this visit through diplomatic channels in a timely manner.
