Algerian Ambassador visits General Võ Nguyên Giáp’s House

On the morning of 27/08/2024, H.E. Mr. Sofiane CHAIB, Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam, visited General Võ Nguyên Giáp’s House to offer him incense and was received by his son, Mr. Võ Hồng Nam. The two sides discussed the work of publishing in the coming time a book on the common history that happily binds the two brotherly countries Algeria – Vietnam, in particular the collection of historical photos and documentaries on General Võ Nguyên Giáp’s visits to Algeria.

On this occasion, Mr. Võ Hồng Nam offered the Algerian Ambassador a bilingual Vietnamese-Arabic book entitled “Vo Nguyen Giap – the People’s General” published by the National Political Publishing House of Vietnam. For his part, the Algerian Ambassador presented General Giap's son with a valuable picture book on the Algerian War by Benjamin Stora, a French historian and widely considered one of the world's greatest experts on Algerian history, hoping that this book can make some contribution to the publication of the said famous book.
