Courtesy meeting between the Ambassador of Algeria to Vietnam and the President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations

The Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, had a working session today, October 3, 2024, with the President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Professor Phan Anh Son.

The two parties discussed ways and means to develop the ties of friendship and solidarity between Algeria and Vietnam as well as the next operational measures to be implemented jointly with the VUFO in this direction.

The exchange made it possible to review the historical ties of solidarity and friendship between Algeria and Vietnam, which date back to the period of their respective struggles against colonialism and continued after independence. It was agreed that the respective potentialities offered by Algeria and Vietnam represent promising niches to further strengthen the ties of cooperation between the two countries, while promoting common memorial heritage, people-to-people exchanges and decentralized cooperation.
