Meeting between the Ambassador of Algeria to Vietnam and Director of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO

On September 27, 2024, H.E. Mr. Sofiane Chaib had a meeting with Ms. Lê Thị Hồng Vân, Acting Director of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO to discuss Algeria's candidacy for the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the 2025-2029 term. The election of the new members of this Body will take place in November 2025, in Samarkand (Uzbekistan), on the occasion of the 43rd session of the General Conference of the Organization.

In addition, the two parties also discussed cooperation in organizing cultural diplomacy activities in the coming times.
