NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC EXTENSION OF STAY FOR FOREIGNERS BLOCKED DUE TO COVID-19

The Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria informs that the Vienamese Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security has issued an automatic stay extension notice for foreigners stranded in Viet Nam due to COVID-19.

1. CONTINUE to implement “automatic stay extension” for foreign nationals until August 31st, 2021 (subjects and forms prescribed in paragraph 1 of the Diplomatic Note No 6345/QLXNC dated May, 19th, 2020).

2. During the period of "automatic extension of stay", foreigners are required to complete a declaration of temporary residence and state of health.

3. In the event that the foreign person's passport expires soon and the new passport could not be issued due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the immigration authorities will appropriately review the visa issuance conditions. and extension of temporary residence upon request.
