Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Thang receives Algerian Ambassador

On the afternoon of September 28, HE Mr. Abdelhamid Boubazine, Ambassador of Algeria to Vietnam and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to Comrade Nguyen Van Thang, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief of the Delegation of the National Assembly of the Province of Dien Bien. Present at the meeting were Mr. Lo Van Tien - vice chairman of the provincial people's committee and leaders of a number of provincial departments.

During the meeting, the secretary of the provincial committee of the party, Nguyen Van Thang, presented to the Ambassador of Algeria and his delegation an overview of the geographical situation - topographic - demographic - economic - cultural - touristic - social - security as well as the assets of the province of Dien Bien in the fields of agriculture, forestry, tourism, industry, clean energy….

He affirmed that Dien Bien Province always warmly welcomes investors and international partners and creates favorable conditions for them to visit, seek to understand the province and from there develop cooperative relations with Dien Province. He expressed a hope that in the near future, thanks to the connection of Mr. Ambassador, Algerian companies and investors will have more information to continue researching and investing in the province of Dien Bien.

After listening to the general information presented by the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thang on the province of Dien Bien, the Ambassador sent him his sincere thanks and expressed his affection during his visit to the province of Dien Bien; he announced to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee his plan to organize activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Algeria.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Algeria also expressed his wish to establish twinning relations between the province of Dien Bien and the province of Batna in Algeria in the fields of agriculture, textile technology and expansion of cultural and sporting exchanges.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged plans and cooperation opportunities between Dien Bien province and Batna province. Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Dien Bien Province is always ready and welcomes cooperation with Batna Province in the areas discussed. At the same time, he strongly hopes that the cooperation agreement between the two provinces will be signed soon.
