The Ambassador of Algeria, Sofiane CHAIB visits the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship School

On the morning of 28/08/2024, H.E. Mr. Sofiane CHAIB, Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to the Management of the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship School and was warmly welcomed by Ms. Trần Minh Thủy – Director of the School, Ms. Hoàng Thị Hoài Sâm, Vice-Director of the School and Mr. Nguyễn Trung Kiên, President of the School Union.

During the discussion, the Director expressed the wish to establish a twinning (online or in person) with an Algerian school so that students and teachers from two schools can exchange information on the culture, people, education system, training and teaching content of Algeria and Vietnam. The Algerian Ambassador, for his part, promised that during his term in Vietnam, he will do his best to realize this very interesting and useful cooperation project.

The two parties also discussed, among other things, the contribution of the Friendship School to the upcoming activities organized by the Algerian Embassy such as the 70th anniversary of Algeria's National Day in 2024, or by the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship Association. For its part, the Algerian Embassy will also design collaborative activities with the Friendship School on the occasion of significant events, namely the start of the school year on September 5, Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, and in particular, the two parties will work closely together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship School (1985 - 2025).
