The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. LÊ Hoài Trung, receives the Ambassador of Algeria to Vietnam

On April 7, 2022, Comrade Le Hoai Trung, member of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Central Commission for External Relations of the PCV received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Vietnam, H.E. Mr. Abdelhamid Boubazine, for his courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Commission.

During this meeting, Mr. Le Hoai Trung congratulated Mr. Abdelhamid Boubazine on his appointment as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Vietnam. He also commended Algeria for its achievements in nation building and development; highly appreciated the traditional good friendship between the two countries, built during the period of heroic struggle waged by both countries against colonial aggression and for national independence.

Mr. LÊ fully appreciated Algeria's active role within the Non-Aligned Movement, the African Union, the United Nations and other regional organizations; he affirmed his readiness to cooperate with the Embassy of Algeria to promote activities on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. On this occasion, the head of the Foreign Relations Committee also informed the Ambassador of Algeria about the political system of Vietnam; the position and role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the political system, the functions and tasks of the Central Foreign Relations Commission. He suggested that the two sides continue to promote cooperation in various fields and foster phone conversations between senior leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the National Liberation Front (FLN).

For his part, Ambassador Abdelhamid Boubazine expressed his most sincere thanks for the sentiments of the head of the Foreign Relations Committee reserved for the Algerian people; he highly appreciated the role and position of Vietnam in the region and on the international scene and affirmed his will to promote the traditional relations of friendship between the PCV and the FLN in particular and between the two Vietnamese and Algerian peoples in general . Finally, Mr. Boubazine pledged to work closely with the CPV's Foreign Relations Commission to further promote the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries.

On this occasion, the two sides also exchanged information and views on the global, regional situation and a number of other issues of common concern.
