The new Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam presents the copy of his credentials

On July 24, in Hanoi, Deputy Director of the State Protocol Department Vu Hoang Yen received a copy of the credentials for the appointment of the new Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam.

At the meeting, H.E.Mr. Chaib Sofiane offered his sincere condolences and stated that President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune had sent a letter of condolence to President To Lam, the Vietnamese government and people, and the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong following his death.

Deputy Director of the State Protocol Department Vu Hoang Yen thanked Ambassador Chaib Sofiane for his sincere feelings; shared that the death of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is an extremely huge loss for the Party, State and people of Vietnam.

Congratulating Mr. Chaib Sofiane on his appointment as Ambassador to Vietnam, Deputy Director of the State Protocol Department hoped that during his term, Mr. Chaib Sofiane will continue to promote his role and also contribute to promoting the traditional friendship and good cooperation, promoting the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation mechanisms between Vietnam and Algeria.

Ms. Vu Hoang Yen affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Protocol Department and relevant units are always ready to support, cooperate and create favorable conditions for Ambassador Chaib Sofiane to successfully carry out his mandate in Vietnam.

Thanking Deputy Director of the State Protocol Department Vu Hoang Yen for taking the time to receive him, Ambassador Chaib Sofiane shared that he fully appreciates the bilateral relations between Algeria and Vietnam.

Mr. Chaib Sofiane affirmed that the cooperation between the two countries has been constantly strengthening and actively developing and that political-diplomatic relations have been promoted through maintaining the exchange of delegations at all levels, through the channels of the Party, the State, the National Assembly, mechanisms such as the Algerian-Vietnamese Joint Commission, political consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs... Algeria is currently the 4th export market of Vietnam in Africa.

At the same time, Ambassador Chaib Sofiane expressed the hope that during his tenure in Vietnam, he will continue to benefit from the support and assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to carry out his tasks well, thus contributing to further promoting the relations between Vietnam and Algeria.
